Spot the Difference draws the same 5x5 grid of coloured squares twice, side by side, and changes four of the cells in the right-hand copy. Tap a cell that differs and it is counted; tap one that does not and the game highlights it as a hint instead. Find all four and the round is over, inside a 100-second limit.
Controls
- Find — Tap a cell in either panel
- Hint — Tap a cell that is not a difference and it lights up
- Pause — P
Tips & Tricks
- 1The change is colour and nothing else: the grid geometry is identical in both panels, so comparing shape or position finds nothing. You are looking for the same square in the same place wearing a different colour.
- 2Four cells out of twenty-five differ, and each is worth one point — the round is worth four points in total. There is no bonus for speed, so the clock only matters if it runs out.
- 3A miss is not a penalty: it marks that cell as a hint and costs nothing but the tap. Tapping through the grid systematically is a legitimate way to win, and on a 5x5 that is twenty-five taps.
- 4Adjacent cells often share a colour from the eight-colour palette, so a difference can hide between two neighbours that look similar rather than standing out on its own.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many differences are there?
Four, on a 5x5 grid of solid colour, and finding all four ends the run. Each one found adds a point, so a completed run scores four.
Does a wrong tap cost me anything?
No. A tap on a cell that is not a difference highlights that cell as a hint and takes no points and no time. Only the 100-second clock can end the run without a win.
Is there more than one board?
In this build, no — a run is a single 5x5 board. The component has a difficulty ramp that would grow the grid to 8x8 and the differences to eight, but the board loader is only called once when the run starts, so the ramp never runs. That is a defect rather than a design choice.
