How to Play
Water Sort is a pouring puzzle: sort coloured liquid so every tube holds a single colour. Each tube holds four units, and a level gives you one full tube per colour plus two empty tubes to work with. Tap a tube to pick it up, then tap another to pour.
A pour is only legal when the destination tube is empty or its top layer is the same colour, and it has room left. When it is legal, the game pours the whole run of matching colour off the top of the source tube at once — not one unit at a time — stopping when the destination is full or the colour changes. That single rule is what makes the puzzle work: a pour is always all-or-nothing.
Difficulty climbs with the level. Levels 1 and 2 use three colours across five tubes, levels 3 and 4 use four colours, and the count rises by one every two levels until it caps at eight colours across ten tubes. Every board is generated by shuffling a solved state with legal moves, so a solution always exists. Finishing shows how many pours you took; fewer is better.

Tips & Tricks
- 1A pour empties the entire top run of one colour, so never pour two units of a colour onto a tube where you only wanted to park one
- 2Freeing a tube is worth more than completing one: an empty four-unit tube is the only real storage you have
- 3Open with a pour that uncovers a new colour rather than one that finishes a tube early — early finishes tend to strand mixed tubes later
- 4If a colour's units are spread across three tubes, use an empty tube to gather them before committing to a destination
- 5With two empty tubes at the start, treat one as workspace and try to keep the other spare as long as possible
- 6Undo costs you nothing but a move on the counter, so use it to test whether a tube can be emptied before committing the rest of the board
- 7At eight colours the board is ten tubes wide; solve left to right so you do not have to re-read the whole board every turn
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I pour into this tube?
A pour needs the destination to be empty or to have the same colour on top, and to have at least one unit of space. If the top colours differ, no amount of tapping will move it.
Does one pour move everything?
Yes. The game pours the entire continuous run of the top colour, limited only by the destination's remaining space. You cannot pour a single unit on its own.
How does difficulty scale with levels?
Colour count is 3 plus one more every two levels, capped at 8. You always get one full tube per colour and two empty tubes, so a level 1 board has five tubes and a level 11 board has ten.
Can a level be unsolvable?
No. Boards are built by starting from a sorted state and shuffling it with legal pours, so the shuffle can always be reversed.
Is there a timer or move limit?
Neither. The move counter is just your score in reverse — lower is better — and the level waits as long as you need.
What do the Hint, Undo and Restart buttons do?
Hint selects a tube that has at least one legal pour. Undo rolls the board back one pour. Restart redeals the same level with a fresh shuffle.
