Space Shooter is a descending-wave arcade shooter. Move your ship left and right and fire upward to destroy rows of targets.
Each cleared wave is replaced by a faster formation. Don't let any surviving target reach the bottom.
Every wave is exactly 4 rows by 8 columns — 32 targets — and each one is worth 10 points, so a perfectly cleared wave pays 320. Your cannon has a 300 ms cooldown between shots, which caps you at roughly three shots per second and makes sustained fire a matter of holding the key rather than tapping it.
The targets never shoot back. All the pressure comes from the formation sliding sideways and stepping down, so the real deadline is the lowest surviving row.
Controls
- Arrow Left / Right — Move ship
- Space — Fire
- Start — Begin wave (Space on first press)
- P — Pause
Tips & Tricks
- 1Pick off edge invaders first to widen safe lanes
- 2Fire rhythmically — gaps in shots waste time
- 3Watch the lowest row; that is the real deadline
- 4Clear one column early to open a safer aiming lane
- 5With a 300 ms cooldown, holding fire is strictly better than tapping — you can never shoot faster than three per second
- 6Clearing the outer columns first shortens the formation's horizontal travel, which slows how often it reaches the edge and drops
- 7Since 32 targets at 10 points each is the whole wave, missing targets costs you score permanently — there is no second pass
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the targets shoot back?
No. The pressure comes from the formation moving sideways and descending toward your ship.
What happens after I clear a wave?
A fresh formation appears, the wave counter rises, and its horizontal movement becomes faster.
When does the run end?
The run ends if any surviving target reaches the bottom of the playfield.
How many targets per wave?
32, arranged as 4 rows of 8, and each is worth 10 points.
How fast can I fire?
One shot every 300 ms, or about three per second. Tapping faster than that does nothing.
Does the formation speed up within a wave?
The step-down accelerates between waves rather than mid-wave, so the danger arrives in stages.
