How to Play
Recoil Rush is a platform shooter where the blaster is the only way to move. Every tap fires one shot along the blaster's current angle, and the kickback throws the runner the opposite way — taps never steer the gun. Whenever you touch down, the blaster snaps to point straight down, so the first tap on the ground is always a jump straight up. The moment a shot launches you into the air the blaster starts spinning, and while airborne a tap fires along whatever angle the spin is showing at that instant, so air control becomes a timing game. Shoot downwards to launch upwards, shoot behind you to sprint forwards, and keep tapping in mid-air to correct your landing — there is no charging step and no ammo limit. Each level is generated fresh with broken ground, lava gaps, floating ledges, targets on foot and hovering drones. Clear the targets on a level to move to the next one, and watch your three lives: falling into the lava costs one. Orange barrels explode when hit and take out every target inside the blast, which also shoves the runner away.
Controls
- Tap (or tap Space) to fire — the gun angle is never aimed by taps
- Landing snaps the blaster straight down, so a ground tap jumps
- In the air the blaster spins; tap at the right moment to steer
- P pauses, R restarts the current level
Tips & Tricks
- 1Ammo is unlimited, so experiment freely with odd angles
- 2Fire downwards to hover and buy time to line up a shot
- 3Barrels are worth more than single targets when targets stand close together
- 4Save two shots for the landing correction, not just the jump
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I move?
Only by shooting. Every shot kicks the runner in the opposite direction, so aim away from where you want to go.
What happens if I fall in the lava?
You lose one life and the level is generated again. Three lives in a run.
Are the levels always different?
Yes. Every level is generated on the spot, so the layouts never repeat.
