Paper Plane Glide is a one-button descent: the plane flies right at a fixed speed and you hold to climb and release to sink. Wind gusts push it up or down harder as the course goes on, and the run ends either on the landing pad or in the ground beside it.
Controls
- Climb — Hold the pointer or Space
- Sink — Release
- Pause — P
Tips & Tricks
- 1Holding adds 0.42 of upward velocity per frame and releasing adds 0.1 of downward, so the plane sinks five times faster than it can be pushed up. A held button is the default state, not the exception.
- 2The landing pad is only 32 pixels wide and sits between 360 and 430 pixels along a course that starts at 50, so the whole flight is spent making small corrections rather than large ones.
- 3Wind gusts are ramped toward the end of the course, up to 1.9 times their nominal strength, so the last third is where a line that was fine stops being fine. They push up or down, never along.
- 4Rings pay five points each and there are between five and eight of them, but the score also tracks distance at four pixels a point and keeps whichever is higher — so rings only add when they put you ahead of the distance, which they usually do not.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I land?
Touch down inside the pad, which spans 32 pixels centred between 360 and 430 pixels from the start. Landing anywhere else on the ground, or flying off the right edge of the screen, ends the run without the 40-point landing bonus.
What does the button do?
It climbs: holding applies 0.42 of upward velocity per frame while releasing applies 0.1 downward, with vertical speed clamped between 4.5 up and 6 down. There is no throttle and no left or right control.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes, and it is the simplest input here: press and hold to climb, lift the finger to sink. No drag and no coordinates are read.
