How to Play
Idle Bakery starts with you tapping the big pastry button: every click bakes pastries worth 1 at click level one. Pastries are the currency for everything. Spend them on staff and equipment in the shop list below the button — a Kitchen Helper costs 15 and bakes 0.5 pastries per second, a Deck Oven costs 100 and adds 2 per second, and six producer tiers climb all the way to the Pastry Bot at 150,000 and 600 per second. Each purchase raises that producer's price by 15 percent, so early buys are cheap and late ones are deliberate choices.
The Click ×2 button doubles the value of every manual click; the first upgrade costs 100 and each next one costs four times the previous, so clicking stays relevant even in a fully automated bakery. Everything you own keeps producing while the tab stays open — production ticks ten times per second whether you click or not.
When you close the tab the bakery keeps working: on your next visit you are paid half the production rate for up to 8 elapsed hours, so leaving the ovens running overnight is part of the strategy. Close shop from the button under the counter to bank a day summary, and Restart wipes the save in this browser if you want a fresh start.

Tips & Tricks
- 1Producers never sleep: a Helper bought in minute one out-earns minutes of clicking, so buy your first staff before stacking click upgrades
- 2The 1.15× price curve means buying the same producer early is cheap — two Helpers cost 32 pastries, the twentieth costs over 240
- 3Hold off on Click ×2 until you own three or four producers; 100 pastries is a second Helper, which earns even while you read this
- 4The 8-hour offline cap pays 50 percent, so plan long gaps: 600 pastries per second for a full night is roughly 8.6 million pastries
- 5Upgrade tiers pay for themselves faster the earlier you buy them — the jump from 1 to 2 per click doubles all future clicking
- 6Keep the tab open in a background sheet while working; production runs at full speed as long as the browser keeps the tab alive
- 7Do not buy a producer you cannot double-check: at 15 percent growth, skipping one tier to afford the next usually wins
