See allHow to Play
Euchre deals four hands of five from a 24-card deck and turns up a card whose suit becomes trump. Play five tricks, following suit where you can, and take three of them to win the hand. There is no bidding: the trump suit is fixed before the first card is played, and the score is simply the number of tricks you took.
Controls

Tips & Tricks
- 1Trump is the turned-up card's suit and it is decided before you play a single card — there is no ordering up and no pass, so the trump suit is luck rather than a decision.
- 2The deck is 24 cards, nines through aces, and four hands of five leave four cards unseen. That is a small enough trump suit to count: there are only six of them, so a trump played is one fewer to worry about.
- 3The highest trump wins the trick, and any trump beats a card of the led suit. Following suit is required when you can; a discard from another suit is only legal when you are void in the led suit.
- 4Three tricks wins and the score is the count, so there is no bonus for a sweep — 5-0 and 3-2 both score three. Five tricks is worth nothing extra, which makes a lost early trick expensive only if it costs the third one.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many tricks do I need?
Three of five. The hand ends as soon as either side has three, and the final score is the number of tricks you took, so the ceiling is five and the win threshold is three.
How are cards ranked?
Ace high, then king, queen, jack, ten, nine — numeric rank with the ace promoted. Note that this implementation does not use bowers: in standard euchre the jack of trump is the highest card and the other jack is second, and here both rank by their face value, so the ace of trump beats the jack.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The hand is a row of buttons rather than a canvas target, so a tap plays a card and the game needs no keyboard.
