How to Play
Cube Miner is a block-digging descent through a procedurally generated voxel shaft. Your miner stands in a small tunnel and digs the four blocks around them — up, down, left or right — to move. Grass, dirt, stone and wood pay a few points each; coal, iron, gold and diamond ores pay far more and fill your gem counter, with diamonds worth the most at the deepest levels. Lava is the only hazard: digging into it costs one of your three lives and knocks you back, but it never ends the run on its own. Each level is a fresh shaft whose bedrock floor sits a little deeper than the last, and touching that bedrock floor clears the level and drops you into the next. Clear all five levels to win the run, and your best score is saved on this device.
Controls
- Arrow keys or WASD (or tap a direction) to dig and move that way
- Space also digs straight down
- On touch: tap above the miner to dig up, below to dig down, left/right to dig sideways
- P or Esc pauses; each level floor is the goal
Tips & Tricks
- 1Diamonds only appear in the deepest rows, so push past the iron and gold layers for the big payouts
- 2Lava never fully blocks a level — there is always a safe sideways route around it
- 3Digging straight down is the fastest way to the floor, but peek left and right for ore pockets worth more than plain stone
- 4Save your lives: a careless dig into lava costs one, and three mistakes end the run
- 5Completing a level banks a bonus that scales with how many lives you kept
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I move?
Dig the block you want to step into. Tap or press in that direction; the miner mines the block and moves into the space.
What happens if I dig into lava?
You lose one life and are bounced back. With three lives, you can survive two lava hits before the run ends.
How do I clear a level?
Reach and dig into the bedrock floor at the bottom. The shaft gets a little deeper each level, and five cleared floors wins.
