How to Play Browser Games Offline (PWA Guide 2026)

Step-by-step: install No WiFi Games on iPhone and Android, cache games with our PWA, and play Snake, Tetris, and more without internet.

You do not need an app store download to play games offline. Modern browsers support Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) — websites that cache files locally so you can open them from your home screen like a native app.

No WiFi Games is built as a PWA with a service worker. After one online visit, many of our 68+ titles stay playable when WiFi or mobile data is off.

Step 1: Visit online once

Open https://www.nowifiwebgames.com in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone). Play two or three games you like — Snake, 2048, or Sudoku are great starters. This lets the service worker download game scripts and assets.

Step 2: Install to home screen

On Android: tap the menu (⋮) → Install app or Add to Home screen. On iPhone: tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add. You will get an icon labeled No WiFi Games.

Step 3: Test offline mode

Turn off WiFi and mobile data (or use airplane mode with WiFi disabled). Open the home screen icon. You should see the site load from cache and be able to start games that were cached during your online session.

Which games work best offline?

Puzzle and arcade classics cache reliably: Snake, Tetris, 2048, Minesweeper, Sudoku, Memory, and Block Puzzle. Larger action games may need one full online load first. See our curated Games Without WiFi list for fifteen offline-ready picks.

Troubleshooting

If offline fails: clear the site data, revisit online, play a game for 30 seconds, then reinstall the PWA. Ensure you open the installed icon — not a stale browser tab. Update prompts appear when we ship new games; tap Refresh when prompted.

Privacy and storage

High scores and favorites stay in your browser localStorage — not on our servers. We do not require accounts for offline play. See our Privacy Policy for cookie and analytics details.
